What is the right of withdrawal?
According to the Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 (“Law”), buyers have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of delivery, without providing any reason and without paying shipping costs.
How can the right of withdrawal be used?
The buyer must notify the seller within 14 days of delivery that they wish to return the product. The seller must accept the return within 10 days and refund the product amount and return shipping fee with no extra charges.
The original invoice must be included with the returned product. The return section on the invoice should be filled in and signed by the buyer.
When did Law No. 6502 come into effect?
It came into force on 28.05.2014.
Which products are excluded from the right of withdrawal?
- Custom-made products upon the buyer’s request
- Hygienic items such as underwear, swimsuits, cosmetics
- Opened DVDs, CDs, software, etc.
- Perishable or expired products
- Bullion gold, silver, and other exchange-traded items
Important Notice:
All customized products containing names, logos, or designs are exempt from the right of withdrawal under the distance sales agreement. These products cannot be canceled or returned by law.
EU Consumer Information:
For orders from EU countries, the Directive 2011/83/EU applies. However, the right of withdrawal is not valid for customized, named, sized, or specially designed products.
Who pays for return shipping during the withdrawal process?
The seller covers the return shipping cost.
Can the product be returned if it has been used?
Opening the package does not void the right of withdrawal. However, excessive usage invalidates the return.
What if the product is damaged?
The seller may request compensation for any value loss.
What is the time limit for returning a product?
The return must be shipped within 3 days of the return request. If it exceeds 24 hours, the request is canceled.
What should I do if the package is damaged upon delivery?
You must ask the delivery staff to prepare a damage report.
What is the return period?
You can return the product within 14 days of receiving it.
What are the return conditions?
The product must be returned with the invoice and return form. Used, damaged, or expired products are not accepted.
Which products are excluded from returns?
Custom-made products and gift packages are non-returnable.
When is the refund issued?
- For credit card payments: The refund is issued within 14 business days after the product is received. Timing depends on your bank.
