We prepare the printing of the plaques in our own production facility using the UV printing method. Texts, logos, dates, and decorative details are applied to the surface according to the design. We apply varnish to ensure the print looks more vivid and, especially, for the letters to appear brighter under light. This small detail ensures that the plaque looks more refined and remarkable when its box is opened.

Name, title, logo, date, and a medium-length thank-you text can be placed without crowding each other. It is one of the frequently preferred sizes for ceremonies held in schools, companies, associations, sports clubs, and public institutions.

The 15 × 20 cm large album plaque is suitable for longer texts and more visible designs. If multiple logos, institution name, title, long thank-you text, or a special message are to be used, the large surface design provides relief. It provides a more powerful appearance for retirement ceremonies, long-service thank-yous, protocol gifts, anniversaries, and the rewarding of significant achievements.

It is not always correct to think that as the size increases, the plaque looks more valuable. Sometimes a short text can look empty on a large surface. Sometimes, squeezing a long thank-you note into a small model makes the text difficult to read. The best result is obtained in a design where the length of the text and the plaque size are compatible with each other.

Red or Navy Blue?

We offer two different velvet box colors for album plaques: red and navy blue. Both colors look classic, but the feeling they provide is different from each other.

The album plaque with a red velvet box creates a warmer and more striking appearance. The red color makes itself more visible, especially in school ceremonies, sports competitions, contests, festival awards, and collective presentations made on stage. It can provide a compatible look with gold-toned lettering and warm-colored logos.

The album plaque with a navy blue velvet box gives a calmer and more corporate air. It can be frequently preferred for company events, retirement ceremonies, academic achievements, public institutions, municipalities, and official organizations. The navy blue box creates a balanced background for designs prepared with silver, white, blue, and corporate colors.

There is no hard-and-fast rule for color selection. Some institutions decide according to the color in their logo, while others make a choice according to the nature of the ceremony. It looks neater if all plaques in the same organization are prepared in a single color. If awards are given in different categories, colors can also be used to distinguish them. For example, thank-you plaques can be prepared with navy blue boxes and achievement awards with red ones.

UV Printing Shows Even the Small Details of the Design

In the impressive appearance of the plaque, not only the box and size but also the cleanliness of the print is important. A blurred institution logo, overlapping text, or faded colors can change the entire mood of the plaque.

We do the printing of album plaques with the UV printing method. The design is applied directly to the printing surface. Thus, the name, logo, date, and decorative details can be prepared in a single order. Colored logos can be used, different fonts can be preferred, and background designs suitable for the nature of the ceremony can be created.

One of the advantages provided by UV printing is that small details can be applied more clearly. However, the result does not depend solely on the machine. The quality of the logo sent, the accuracy of the text, and the font sizes used in the design also affect the printing result. For this reason, it is important that the logo is sent as clearly and in as high a resolution as possible.

If you have a vector logo, the cleanest result is obtained with this file. If a vector file is not available, a high-resolution PNG or an image with a clean background can be used. Since small screenshots taken from the internet can become blurred when enlarged, the original logo file should be sent whenever possible.

So That the Letters Shine a Little More

After the printing is completed, we apply varnish to make the design look more vivid. Especially the name, institution name, or texts that are desired to be highlighted shine slightly depending on the light. This is one of the details that ensures the text appears more prominent on the surface when the plaque box is opened.

Varnish is not used only to make the entire surface shiny. Depending on the nature of the design, certain texts, ornaments, or important sections can be highlighted. Thus, the plaque does not look monotonous; the name and the thank-you message are noticed more easily.

It is important not to overdo it in this application. Having every area shine to the same degree can sometimes make it difficult to read the text. Therefore, varnish is used according to the needs of the design. The goal is not to create unnecessary brightness on the plaque, but to add a small emphasis to important details.

Submitting names in Excel or as a plain list reduces the possibility of confusion during the production process.

The use of uppercase and lowercase letters in names, the way titles are written, and the date format should be determined before ordering. For example, if it is desired that the surname be written in capital letters in all names, the entire list must be prepared in the same order. Having a title for some people and not for others may cause the designs to look different from each other.

Since the text to be printed on the plaque will be prepared as it comes from the customer, it is important to check for typos in advance. Especially person names, institution names, and dates should be carefully examined. After the printing is completed, it may be necessary to prepare the product again to correct a misspelled name.

Shrinking Everything Is Not the Solution When the Text Is Long

Sometimes it is desired to add a long thank-you text, multiple names, an institution logo, and a date to a plaque. Although it is possible to fit all the information into a small model, it may become difficult to read the texts. Even if the plaque looks good from a distance, the texts may look cramped when examined closely.

If the text is long, it would be more accurate to choose a medium or large size. In small-size plaques, it is necessary to shorten the sentences and highlight the most important message. Expressing the same meaning with fewer words often strengthens the design as well.

For example, instead of a long paragraph, the person's name, title, and a two-sentence thank-you message can be used. The institution name and date can be placed in the bottom section. Thus, the plaque looks both readable and neater.
